The world's #1 resource for everything Subaru Tecnica International, with a core focus on supporting every individual in a positive environment, regardless of experience and technical ability.
1000whp takes $, big $. My build is around 1000hp at the crank. To do it you literally need to upgrade everything. You also need a closed deck block. IAG & Off The Line are the only closed decks I'd trust. You'll also want oversized head studs. Then with the heads you want oversized valves...
Me too! Charlotte is packed full of Subarus, but it's dry on decent shops. The guys at Shift Fast are good guys who just want to make fast cars. They focus on Subaru, Evos, Supras, and GTRs but can do much much more. They've really won my vote down here. It took me a year to find a shop that...
If you're anywhere near Charlotte, NC this is the shop to use. I've been through all kinds of problems trying to have work done on my 06 STi since I moved down to the Charlotte, NC area. Then I found Shift Fast Motorsports down in Rock Hill, SC. It's about 30 min from uptown Charlotte. Stewart...

My 911 and my STi
Here's where it broke down October of 2014. Just now I'm getting it running right after that. Burnt up valves, broken wastegate, and destroyed front axle...
Got it back out for more brake in miles. I can't wait to turn it up. It's weird driving a 700whp + setup with 0 boost and a 4k rpm rev limiter. Hopefully I'll have the 1000 miles on it by the end of the weekend.

I've paired with the shop Shift Fast Motorsports near me to help get it done. Junior JR is tuning it there for me. Hopefully I can have numbers to come soon.

To replace the block that was destroyed I went with an Outfront V4 closed deck, Manley turbo tuff rods, CP pistons, 1/2" headstuds, and JE proseal headgaskets to round out the short block.

Well SHTF with this build. It dropped a sleeve, ate up the cams, and the buckets were chewed up. That caused a new page to begin for the car.
