"Coilover Covers" are definitely a thing. Good, or bad, i dont know. I've though about a set for winter/street driving, but I'd definitely take them off for track duty.

Same here, except replace track with off-road. I just know that salt does bad things to aluminum, and it will seep into everything.

Reminds me that I should probably get some progress on finishing closing off the area around my engine before I return to the lands of weather again.

Makes sense, figured if I made them decent enough they'd keep most of the junk out in the first place.
