I've got an '00 pre-facelift E39 M5, bone stock except for removing the 6-disc changer in the boot and wiring in an aux adapter.

I just bought some wheels, and we'll see if they fit! I went 285 all around, which will be tight up front (with no camber adjustment from the factory). Other than that I'm going to try to keep the modding light, although I'd love to drop in a Stage I or II S/C kit. Welllll, I'll probably do the muffler delete. It saves like 35-50 lbs, and makes it sound better. But other than that stock and just enjoy it until I'm richer.

Did you do all the work to your E46, either choosing and/or installing all the mods, or did you get it modded?

It was all professionally done at a shop except the regular maintenance which is done by me. Also I have changed some things since then to make it more tolerable for daily driving. some chosen by previous owner though. I knew the guy so I had some influence :)

Post pics of the 5!! I want to see. My Evo gets delivered to my front door today possibly if not tomorrow morning. I'll post them up together. I eventually want a subaru again though :)

Why does it seem like everyone ignores suspension, but will throw everything they can at the motor?

Well I am glad it doesn't have suspension because handling is my favorite part. I have this clean slate to mess with it but the Evo 8 is no slouch in handling even stock. It's pretty good as is right now. I being a petrol head and I'm sure many will agree...it's summer and the mod bugs are coming out strong !! lol.
Alin I got you sir!! I think I'm driving the Bee Emm double V tomorrow.
