225/45r17 tires

vs

315/45r17 tires

How does the rolling resistance differ between these two sizes? Also, how does it affect fuel economy?

The wider tire has a larger contact patch on the road so the rolling resistance is higher than the other tire which in turn will give u lower fuel economy. The more tire on the road the more work the car has to do to move them

And thats all i have to say about that...
