What was once a dream of ours has become the biggest nightmare that we could have ever dreamed of. As we sit back and look at why, it has come to our attention that a certain group of people are jealous, and attempting to slander and berate what we have created. Please allow us to clear something up. We have never once attempted to defraud anyone or brush anyone off. If you purchased a membership, we have thanked you, and always sent what was supposed to be sent. Second, you're responsible for your account. It automatically renews each year. We have put steps into place to warn you about this from the start. We go above and beyond any other community, and will continue to do so.
Second, people think I.G.O.T.A. is a million dollar business. It's a million dollar idea, but the fact remains that forums will never make a profit. Every dollar earned goes towards keeping the sites up and running. We would be happy if we could cover expenses. We have gone in the red each month as Google fees, Facebook fees, Servers fees, Programs Fees, and other expenses have piled up in order to be the best we can, which eat up a ton of cash. So what that means is that without your support, we will fail. We love what we do here for the members, but without member and vendor support, we can't keep on going. One or two people alone can not foot the whole bill alone, and continue to last. It takes a village, as they say. We have bills and families, and outside influences of our own. It takes teamwork. The members who have been here for a longer period of time know that we don't let anything go. We fix all issues and problems, and give support 100% of the time.
Third, we have lost some posts as you will see. This is because we have trusted certain people and gave them the power to control stuff on our site, AKA: Super Mods, but they abused their power. We were going to reload the site as where backed up every 4 hours off site, but gave it some serious consideration and come to the following conclusion. We don't need them to succeed. We want nothing more than that group to go away and have put new steps into place to keep them out. We have talked to other owners of certain sites, and they go from one place to another causing havoc. We say "good riddance and don't come back." These are people who can't say anything nice to anyone, and think their way is the only correct way. We support each person here, and will continue to treat everyone equal, unlike them.
Fourth, if you want drama then join a drama club. We're getting back to basics now that those certain people are finally gone. Here is what we need from you. We need you to spread the word that we aren't like the rest. Sure people will hate us, and that's only normal as you can't please everyone, but we need our members to keep on posting great information, spreading the word, and growing with us. We will continue to fight the fight if you do.
Finally, we love what has been created here by you, the members. Without you, this wouldn't be possible. We will push forward, and hope that you will support us in doing so whether by purchasing a membership, t-shirt, passing out a cards to your friends, or becoming a vendor. It has been an honor for us to be loved by so many. For as many detractors as we may have who feel that we are "trying to get rich" off of a forum which can never make anyone "rich", you all have proven time and time again that we are accomplishing something together that can not be broken by elitism, aggression, or slander.
