I bought my first Subaru when I was stationed in Japan. It was a 1997 Legacy RS. The car was really fast. It was stock except for the axle back exhaust. What made it realy cool was the EJ20R and the dual stage twin turbo system that was installed. When I got to 3500rpm the first turbo would shutdown and the car would build up boost and at 4000rpm all hell would break loose with both turbos unleashing boost at the same time. I had the car for three years loaned it out to a friend while I was out to sea and he destroyed it. He broke the front UV joints and scraped it on the back of a semi-truck at a stop light, the replacement for the UV joints was worth more than I paid for the car, so I ended up junking it. I was getting ready to move back to the US so I started looking for a Subaru. Found an STI in Layton Utah..bought it. I don't think it pulls as much as my RS but I want to get it there.
