I hear you, bro.

1 thing that has always helped me in situations like that is fo write out a pros/cons list.

Not just in your head, write it down, and compare.

It is simple I know but You would be surprised how much that helps

@Batmobile_Engage as old chapters come to a close, new chapters begin to unveil themselves.

You need to do what's in YOUR best interest that will set you on the path towards accomplishing whatever goals YOU have in YOUR life.

Don't settle for complacency and don't stoop down to others' standards.

You need to crave and strive towards continually improving yourself and your life, whatever your goals may be.

Friends come and go.

True friends will remain by your side, regardless of the changes necessary, AS LONG as they're also willing to continually improve their own lives.

7867 - The interview went extremely well. They seemed to indicate I'd have an offer letter in my email early next week. It's going to be a very difficult decision to make, because I really think it would be a great place to work and they seemed like the salary would be extremely generous. That said, they are racing to expand their laboratory and will most likely need me to start quite early in the morning. I'm no stranger to starting early and usually I prefer it. However, we just had our second child less than 2 months ago and with my wife's work schedule being what it is, starting early will be very difficult.

Either way, I feel very confident that if I get an offer and present it to my current employer, they are likely to meet/exceed it. So chances are, I'm getting a raise one way of another.

7868 - It was great interview practice/experience and I got some great feedback on my resume. So ultimately, I'm satisfied with how it all went down.

7871 - Well, it's done. I'm staying at my current company. The prospective company did extend an offer and friggin low-balled me (compared to what they originally suggested). I let my boss know I had an offer and they brought me a generous counter-offer this afternoon, which I accepted. In addition, they made some management changes so that those guys won't be screwing with us anymore. So... win-win!
