Hi looking at getting a Subaru wrx sti need some opinions on this one
What everyone else said compression and leak down test is a must. Take it to a subaru tech or someone who you trust and knows what there doing. It is an STi so chances are it was beat on. Look at the engine bay compare it to a stock one look for missing bolts heat shields etc. this will tell you... -

Yes you will need to connect a gauge (need to fine a Tee with a gauge on it) to the top fuel line. if im not mistaken that is the feed line. remember to relieve the system of any pressure do this by removing your back seats remove the cover for the fuel pump start your car and disconnect the...- zodiac103

No i did not get any CEL codes that was what threw me off for a bit. i just thought i had a major boost leak.but i could not find one so i just decided to check my plugs and sure enough one of them was cracked **do a boost leak test as well could be your clamps can not hold the load happened...- zodiac103

Pressure test the fuel pump or if you have a wide band do a WOT run and look at your afr's if your running lean chances are your pump is starting to crap its self.- zodiac103

Check your spark plugs had a similar thing happen to me turned out one of my plugs were cracked. New plugs fixed the problem- zodiac103

Few mods on this baby all done by me. nothing serious 1.walbro 255 fuel pump 2. cobb sf intake 3. 3'' invida catless down pipe 4. greddy cat back 5. grimmspeed thermal intake spacer 6. cobb "stage 2 tune" nothing major atm. mods to come include EWG and 850cc injectors. but that's about it...- zodiac103
