Right, I believe my injectors are top feed but on the web I read that are side feed. I believe this is a spec C engine, also no TGVs as far as I can tell. Can anyone clarify if this is a USDM / JDM thing?

Hahaha great. I will order the injectors and study the tuning guide to be as prepared as possible since I would like to learn from the process. Platinum membership is not a problem.

Great info man. Thank you very much for sharing!! Btw I have tagged you on my member journal thread but I guess you have the tagging system somehow switched off? Please have a look when you can. In the meantime, i will read your tuning guide. Thanks again!

That sounds like the power that most of the modern short blocks can take. what happens to the case halves then at 600whp? Do they twist and get damaged? If this sounds newb its because this is my first boxer engine and I know nothing about them

Real Auto Dynamics, are you saying that the complete standard short block can take 450whp or just the bare block with better internals?

HolyCrapItsFast Following the "Newbies guide to logging" thread.. I can tell that my MAF is not calibrated since my WOT AFR does not much my fuel map's AFR. I can say this since my only mod on the car was an LM-1 innovate wideband controller stuck on the windshield. Also, following Real Auto...

    Newbies Guide to Logging

HolyCrapItsFast I totally understand what you are talking about. So, from what you have said, the x-axis on the maps is MAF and the unit I suppose is g/rev. Can you log this parameter so you know exactly what is the load column you are using?

Real Auto Dynamics Thank you. I will be ordering an Injector Dynamics set. I suppose ID850 should be sufficient up to 500bhp? Might need to increase fuel pressure but should be ok I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just thinking in advance now.. Stock engine can take about 450-500hp in...

I haven't got any logs with the standard injectors though so that would mean I need to source one standard injector anyway

Real Auto Dynamics . This is great news. Could you recommend me a manufacturer based on your experience that supplies accurate enough data with their injectors? By before and after you mean with old and new injectors?

Let's see what othes have to say. I am indeed a bit concerned but i'm not taking the engine apart "in case of" . If there is a problem it will come up later on..

Thanks for this HolyCrapItsFast . I will have to get back to this in the morning, too tired atm, but I appreciate that you take the time to give us some genuine replies. Will get back with more questions! Doppelganger Insomnia mode reached haha

Is it possible to buy a bigger injector set and adjust "Injector Latency" and "Injector Flow Scaling" in the ROM and be done with it? or am I dreaming here?
  17. S

    sti_newbie 04 JDM STI

I don't like the idea of changing just one injector. That's the reason I was thinking of buying a set, and there is not much difference than a bigger/aftermarket set so I thought it might be better to go bigger at this point. I'm trying to find a used one but this proves to be difficult atm

    Newbies Guide to Logging

how about some explanation on mapping strategy? e.g..what do you tune first? Fuel, ignition, then boost? Also, how do you know where to stop advancing or retarding timing and how do you get to LBT without the use of a dyno? a knock log might be useful for timing but is it safe enough to knock...

What are you doing for a living then? I purchased a tactrix cable but haven't logged anything yet. Also, i don't know the logic of standard ecus and haven't mapped a turbo car before but will see how it goes..
