Do you own a 2008-2013 STi with the cronic 2800rpm stumble / hesitation issue?

By adding that 1 foot of line you are creating a damper area for the fuel system. Not the best fix but it should work. Its like the rally turbocharger pipes with the Air reservoir near the throttle. Fuji correct me if I'm not mistaken on this. To much purple haze to think straight...

    AVCS Tuning

My butt dyno says that I gained a few ponnys after 5000 rpm. I need to hit the dyno but sadly I have no clutch.

    AVCS Tuning

Ok, I'm going to apply most of the stuff that I have read here to my genesis. Lets see if the general knowledge applies over platforms. I have intake and exhaust vvt but never touch them for the sheer fact that I was unsure on how to go at them. Freakishly small turbo wont help out but lets...

Variable geometry turbo "VGT" implementation on an sti.

The turbo was going to be ceramic coated with a turbo blanket also placed over it. Under hood temps wouldn't be any crazier in comparison to a gt35. Now that the controller is coming out, I might even pick this up again from the bottom up but might try it in an 2.5Rs box instead of an newer...

Will divorced DP work on a stock turbo?

Jordan @Defined can hook you up. Also, I have never used a divorced wastegate dp. Not in any subaru that I had, not even possible in my genesis. The design is efficient at most but you wont get mad gains from running one. Back in the day, the term was used more as a marketing gimmick than...

    Water inyection

I'm looking to buy a used meth kit. I want it to be boost referenced and progresive. I'm located at 00659. Send pm if you have one for sale or know of some one that is selling. This is for my genesis... pos car is knocking with 91oct... Thanks for looking. John.

does intake really need a tune?

In some cases the car will stall with a CAI due to the lean mixture and turbulence created in the intake track. This needs to be tuned out so that you don't experience said problems. A BOV in conjunction with a CAI will make this problem stand out. You can drive around with it, but I...

SUBARU Active Valve Control System (AVCS) Timing Is Everything!

I never tried to advance timing on boost, yet if I read correct it does good to power to advance timing on that range? Idk. Ill guess Ill need to buy an Sti again and put this to the test ;)

Innovate LC-1 gauge reads correctly but laptop reads wrong??

When the LC-1 is burning out it will lose its settings upon power up. It will start getting al screwed up until at one point it wont read no more. The light will go on and the sensor heater will work but you wont get any readings from it. Mine started doing that before it died. I bought an...

    Fuel Pump Install

Ok. The last time that I did a fuel pump install "2 years ago" It was very straight forward. It was with a Walbro 255 but the same thing applies to the dw200. Did all the clamps fit in correctly? You could have a fuel leak in there with the new pump in place. Pics would greatly help the...

    What polish/wax brand?

I wax my car with Zymol. When I clay, I use Meguiers clay. I have tried all sorts of waxes from Turtle, Meguiers and some other crap. I'm happy with the shine that Zymol gives to the paint and it last about 1 to 2 months on the car in Puerto Rico weather. PS. She looks clean!

Are Turbo Timer required for a rotated set up??

A water cooled turbo CHRA runs at lower temps than those with out. Thanks to this the oil stays way bellow the cooking threshold and you do not need to give it time to cool down. Have in mind that the water will keep circulating in the turbo while the car is turned off due to temperature...

Header install and hoisting the engine

You don't need to hoist the engine. Just undo the passenger side engine mount and lift a tad bit from that side. Then wiggle it up and it should fit. That's how I did mine.

Sooooo.. I have two options in turbo. so....

Its all in the tune. Do you have your mod plan? Parts List & costs? Its not just a matter of choosing the turbo, but the parts that will allow it to work safely.

Variable geometry turbo "VGT" implementation on an sti.

I sold it but the hole plans are still in my ecu. I just plan to use the setup for a different engine setup. There is a lot of fab work to be done but its perfectly doable. I dont plan on taken the genesis up to that point, but an old chevy engine could be up to the task :O .

Fine knock learning and dynamic adv.

For now nothing to worry about. Fine learning becomes a problem when you are in high load high rpm area. There, knock is most destructive. Post a log and we could help you out!

Nope, probably its 304. For the price you cant complain. I second the grimspeed port match and xpipe option.

Second cam sensor issue in 1 month...

I had an issue with a customers car. The car was miss firering due to bad plugs. It threw a cam sensor code. Didn't know that the plugs where bad, replaced the sensor and the issue came back. For some reason I pulled the plugs out to do a comp test and found that at least 2 plugs where...

    New intake

Like Vermont states, the intake does not suck. I had it in my Sti and tuned it and it worked out just fine. The thing is that if the tuner does not have the correct tools and the right set of knowledge to tune the intake, he will have a hard time with fuel trims going off the charts after the...
