Carbon fiber hood damper

Is it really necessary to use new hood dampers for a carbon fiber hood on my 08 sti? Say no or I Hunt u down

I wouldnt think so. The weight of the two hoods is about the same, so as long at the CF hood has the same mounting points, everything should work well.

I got lucky on a seibon so it should have the same mounts I believe
