Will a driveshaft for a GR fit on a GD?

So after doing a little research, it seems most are different part numbers. However they all list exactly the same weight for a GR vs a GD sti. I'd think if one were longer that the weight would be higher as well.

Can anyone shed some light on what the differences are?
