Interior bits removal

For GR STi.
Anyone have any first hand experience removing the silver trim pieces around the radio and the silver dash swoopy strip that extends from the vents to the center display / HVAC controls?
I would like to paint these black or cover them in black vinyl.
I assume they just pop off and are not integrated with the dash?

Figured they did just wanted to confirm before I pried.
Never known interior panels to be fun. Maybe I can think of a new string of swear words?

I was going to remove mine and sneak a peek behind the AC units, STI logo etc to see if there leds or bulbs. when I do it ill do a write up.
