Hello to all the seniors at IGOTASTi!
I just registered an account, and as a new fan of the WRX STi, I'm so happy to have found this forum!
It was only last month at the auto show that I got to see the STi up close for the first time, and that blue body and the sound of the engine made me fall in love with it right away.
Over the past month, I've been frantically catching up on information, from the model's history to basic modifications.
The more I learn, the more fascinated I get, though I still don't fully understand a lot of the jargon.
I'm still saving up money for now. I bought a 1:18 scale model and put it on my desk.
My phone is full of photos of modified cases from you experts.
Every time I come across a track video of the STi, I watch it over and over again.
I'm especially curious about what everyone means by the "unique driving feel of a boxer engine".
I'm sure I'll be bothering all the seniors a lot in the future – like where to start with entry-level modifications and what to pay attention to in daily maintenance.
If there are any beginner-friendly posts, please point me to them!
If I can make it to an offline meetup, I'd love to hang around, watch, and learn more.
I'm super excited to join this "drama-free" community.
