I wish we had this for Subaru

I was searching the interwebs for parts for my car an I wasn't quite amazed by anything I was looking at. My friend told me about a little known secret in the 240 community. A Japanese company called MAX, better known as Powered by MAX.

The quality of this stuff is nothing short of WOW and they fabricate and or manufacture most of their products themselves. I did some more research and found that every one of their products was race tested before any king of mass production was even considered. So it's not like they are just making stuff up as they go and flooding the market with stuff that really could be snake oil in disguise. I look back at other supposed high end components and see that they really aren't as good as I originally thought and the price is usually premium at best. These guys seem to produce significantly high quality parts at very reasonable prices and even come under some of the inferior parts.

I challenge someone in the American market to step up and do the same... not likely because most of them are just greedy IMO.

But I must say I'm skeptical of how in-house some of that is. Like the seats? I doubt they designed any of that--at best tweaked an existing seat design from a seat manufuacturer?

I'm also curious/skeptical of the rotors. The major brake companies spend OODLES of money on CFD and real tests to get that extra .05% efficiency on vane design, etc... I just cant imagine that these are as good.

That's just me being a debbie downer, and i could be way off.

I'm judging much of this from the 240 world which has been around a bit longer... and considering what is out their after all this time (and trust me I have looked at every conceivable option) there is absolutely nothing that even comes close to these designs. I'm not saying that everything is fabed or maned in house but I can tell you that all of the links, arms and rods are. Plus I have not seen many cage fabrications like this either.

They have all kinds of charts and graphs and stuff comparing results and the stuff is also time and community tested. That it looks all pretty and stuff is an added bonus to me.

I paid a shit ton of money for the stuff in my car and it doesn't come close to the quality or thickness of these parts and from an engineering stand point I see many improvements over other parts that would appear to solve some of the issues I am experiencing from my "high end" parts.

True. And perhaps they found the best damn seat out there and the best brakes and slapped their name on it. Nothing wrong with that. And yes, I'd love some affordable AND top-notch parts for our cars. It seems like the best stuff is just astronomically expensive.

I know MSI makes some parts i havent even really researched much because they're too $$$ but seem to be amazing at a glance.

I'm don't know about the seats but I will tell you I would never trade my brides for those
