Scooters!

Do any of you know anything about scooters?

So I now own a place in downtown DC, and my wife wants something easier than a car to jet around town in. Plus, parking can be a real bitch. Anyways, a motorcycle is out for her, so it looks like we'll be getting a scooter (don't judge)! But I dont know anything about them: brands, engine sizes, wheel sizes, etc...

So I was looking to you guys to kick off my research, and maybe point out things to take into consideration. Thanks!

Used to ride crotch rockets. Does that count? Had an early 70's Vespa with a locked motor. Lol

Something that would hit 50-60 mph. Maybe stick with the major Japanese brands. Other than that I can't offer much.

A friend of mine got his wife a Piaggio MP3-250 3 wheeled scooter. Pretty nice for a scooter. Easy to ride a corners well.
