Ok so I had to replace my turbo inlet cuz the other one collapsed at the end. Anyways I had to Jerry rig the connector that was on the stock inlet to fit the aftermarket one. It's now months later and the plastic oem connector I had to cut to fit the aftermarket one has now failed. I'm wondering if I even need this electrical connection in between the hoses or if I can just take it out and it won't throw a CEL?
Sorry if that was confusing here's pics , I have a 05 Sti
the black plastic connector is donzo the grey connector is what I'm asking about is it needed or can I run a straight hose right there.
One end of the hose end at the turbo inlet hose and the other end goes down the right side of turbo. I haven't noticed any difference in performance or anything but obviously that black plastic is oil rotted and needs to be replaced but it was attached the the stock turbo inlet, so what do you guys do with this after you installed your aftermarket inlet ???
