This information is Golden. Thank you for this work!

But on a darker note... What about the car? What are your plans moving forward? If there is anything I can do I will. Even if you need help financially I can probably swing something.

Still thinking on next step and how it could of failed.

Looking at this diagram there's only one oil path that might have something blocking oil to the bearing. Won't know anything till it's pulled.

For everyone else will update soon still at work.

Yea super bummed at the moment, but getting mad throwing blame, or not doing anything won't help. So, move forward find the issue, fix it and enjoy the car once I get it fixed. ...just trying to stay positive.

So just realized I didn't update anyone cent for holycrapitsfast...lol. So rods are fine. What happened is when I installed my TGV deletes that were braze welded the braze came lose and made its way into the block. Found the metal pirate when I opened up the engine and the. Checked the TGV's and sure enough it was missing a pirate. So heads are now at shop and new gaskets on the way for re-assembly. No dmg to Pistons and no scoring on side wall. Should be good to go as far as the block is considered. The metal I seen in the oil pan was actually the bearings on the turbo going out so Monday ish I will be shipping that out to be rebuilt balanced and good over hall. So as usual when I can't drive the sti I get bored and this is no exception. Today was looking at the intake and though dam that looks like total dog crap.

So I thought hey it's out why not re-paint it.

Started by cleaning up the casting marks on the runners inside and moved on to the outside.

Tomorrow I am gonna go to friends house and blast the outside to make it all uniform.

Then prep by removing all grease. Then a few coats of primer and then finish off with some paint will update as I make progress.

So did some blasting with medium grit aluminum oxide to blend all the grinding marks.

Blend is done along with masking off. Quick wipe down with wax and grease remover.

First coat of self etching primer followed by two more for even coverage across entire manifold.

Thx. Also everyone works at different paces. For me I had an idea of exactly what I wanted beforehand. So that speeds up the process a lot. That and I was not going for show quality. Just better than the mange dog look it had.

Nice job! Looking good so far! I am interested to see how the wrinkle comes out.

So update time let's first start with the intake. While the paint is still drying I like the results of the wrinkle look on the paint. However, I will warn anyone that will be using this paint that it over spray's like a mother. Got some clean up to do on the garage floor and wife not too happy lol.

Once the paint is fully dry will take a few more pictures.

Now onto the turbo. I shipped it out to boostlab in Tampa Florida and it should arrive on Monday. Called them up and got base estimate and additional information from them, and liked what I heard. Also they came recommend by a friend that has used them as well. Will post more information when I have it.

Now onto the heads. While dropping off the valve seals for the heads today found that nothing is bent and should be good to go by tomorrow. All that is left is to wait for the gaskets I ordered and other misc hoses to arrive in the mail. So probably another week or so till everything is ready Togo back in.
