Best oil to use?

Hi everybody. I own a 2011 sti limited and I'm wondering what the best oil/oil filter I can buy. I've been told that amsoil is the top of the line, then comes mobile 1. What do you say?

We run Amsoil and Subaru filters.

Other good oils are Rotella, Valvoline (VR1), Amsoil, Motul, and Joe Gibbs.

The best oil on earth is Amsoil Dominator.. Best filters are Subaru OEM filters

i have used everything from the cheap 25 dollar gallons at walmart to the boutique oils that sell for 15 dollars a quart. unless someone can post actual proof that one oil is better then the other just use what ever you want.

I just had an issue with using a synthetic oil in a built engine.. It will be only a conventional oil for me from now on.. Probably shell, Castrol, or Valvoline.

Shell Rotella T is what many engine builders recommend. :tup:

I run the T6, it's synthetic brethren. Good stuff.
