I apologize. I didn?t mean for this thread to die. Got around to pulling the motor. Definitely shredded what looks like a bearing, but have opened the block up yet. It?s sitting in the oil pickup. Also this piece (looks like a cover somewhere) fell off of the bottom of the flywheel when I removed the pressure plate/clutch assembly. Not sure if there was a previous clutch job and it was dropped in or if it?s a normal piece but I?ve never seen it before on other engine builds I?ve done.

And I would definitely get yourself a new oil pickup. The most popular one is made by Killer B, but I really like the Moroso pickup (which I have). Jordan Defined Performance can get you either one.

Jordan is the man. I have the killer b which is great but the moroso is awesome as well

Update: found the problem of the motor. Spun the #2 rod bearing. Marred up the crank journal and the rod ring that the bearings sits in.

so yea! Does anyone have or know of an STi block for sale? Preferably with an oil cooler that did not come from a motor where metal went everywhere (like a spun bearing) haha.

Thanks!
