Stumbled across the website looking for some tuning tools. Hope to learn and help out where i can.

Welcome!

What kinda tuning tools do you mean? Tips/tricks? Software? I'm sure we can find something for you!

Also, let us know a little bit more about you and your car!

Agreed, let us know what you need. Plenty of guys here with basic tuning knowledge and a few that have protuning experience and can go down whatever rabbit hole you want. Enjoy the site and be sure to ask questions.

I was using HolyCrapItsFast 's tuning guide. I was able to find the Trim Error tool, but I'm still looking for the LoadComp.xls file. I have an 06 WRX, that I just did a bunch of work and upgrades to. After detonating 2 5 speeds, I did a 6 spd swap. While it was down, I did head gaskets, arp studs (I think my heads may have been lifting just a little under boost), MSI parallel kit, DW 1000s, Cobb Flex kit, Aeromotive FPR, tgv deletes, and 08(?) sti tmic. Upgraded to a VF48 a bit ago because the TD04's compressor housing finally seemed to have enough of michigan winters (housing completely broke off at the CHRA).

So yeah, I've gotten through my injector and MAF scaling, not I just need to do the load comp so I can get into OL tuning.

What other cars have you had in the past? How does the WRX compare to them?

Starting at the top.....

93 Ford Escort (16 and just started modding, didnt like when I jumped it and shattered its oil pan)
88 Ranger with a 302 in it. Fun, ruined a lot of tires, but it didnt like snow too much
96 Ford Probe, first japanese-ish tuner car. Learned a lot on this thing. Wasnt too fast, but it handled like it was on a rail.
03 Lancer, bought it new with 5 miles on it. Was a senior in college, so too broke at the time to get an evo. Despite being slow, i loved this car and how well it handled. Lost it in 06 when everyone on the freeway decided to hit me instead of the couch in their lane.
02 Civic Si, didnt have this one too long because I bit off more than I could chew in payments still being in school. Was a nice little tuner car, and it was a 2 door hatch.
00 OBS. My mom's old grocery getter became my first subie. Loved the MI snow in this thing though.
11 Kia Sportage SX first turbo AWD car I owned. It was fun, but after I got a new shortblock due to the engine seizing due to a manfacturer defect, it needed to go

After that I bought my subie. I wanted a gd chasis and either a bug or hawkeye. I have a 16 durango that is for hauling around kids/suitable means of conveyance when it is jackstand season for the subie. I do love/hate my car though. When its running good, it is nice. It was out of commission from November until about a week ago because it decided to not play nicely with 2 different 5 speeds, and I had to wait on the right 6 spd swap to come around. Changed a lot of things around, and did some upgrades during the downtime, hence why I am tuning. As I said, I have the injectors and MAF about spot on for CL. Just need to do the load calibration and I can move on to OL and finally adding back that sweet, sweet boost. So if anyone has the loadcomp.xls file, it'd be greatly appreciatex!

Whew, quite a history of car enthusiasm! Glad you landed in a Subie too! This community is superb!

When I first read your thread on asking about LoadComps.xls, I knew I had them somewhere from when I received my tune, but wasn't entirely sure. After looking, I found all of my tuning files alongside the file. I'll send it to you through a PM.

Hey, @zkemp82 I see that you are just 30 minutes away, in Milford. I'm in Farmington Hills. If you need a hand sometime or want to come see the Batmobile, let me know. It's still under the knife right now though, of course.

Will do, and sorry for the late reply. I just seem to have a bunch of extra time on my hands lately to look at forums.

I think we've all got a little bit of extra time. Unfortunately for me, it's all with a toddler--so extra computer time is hard to find. But my yard has never looked better!
