Its a hollow victory really. Most of the road is paved, so it makes it much easier to get up it faster. Next year will be even faster.

Thats pretty amazing, but i do believe some of the character of the course is lost with the dirt sections going away.

I dont know if I could stand that close to the course. Ive seen the When Things Go Wrong videos. Dont feel like having 3000 pounds flipping onto me.

^^Especially at the speeds they're going! Don't get me wrong, it'll be crazy when its completely paved, I'd love to see what an LM Prototype, or a Duc Desmosdici RR would do up it. Reguardless of the surface you still have to battle the weather and thin air. Not to mention the physiological effects of the altitude on the driver.

3000 lbs... more like 2300-2500 since they gut theme. either way I'm still pretty excited go. Id be ontop of the hill lookin down that way if a car lost it, id be higher up and be a little safer than the rest!
