2015 GBP STi Limited

Edit* Post 2 has up to date mod list, thanks for looking! :subaru:

I figure I could post up anyways about how horrid this wait time is killing me slowly lol
diaf_zpswwowzbmo.gif

So I ordered a 2015 Galaxy Blue Pearl STi Limited with Nav+PushStart/Harman Kardon 9 speaker upgrade and homelink dimming mirror.

10/04/14 - Ordered (original ETA last week of January)
10/04/14 - VON instantly

Still no VIN nor ETA Date, just updated to December for delivery.

The only ray of hope that it left on its journey from Yokohama, Japan 11/10/14 in theory on the Meridian Ace vessel. It's first stop is to Canada first then the states. Hopefully either dropped off at Seattle port? or even at Portland. Iduno where they mainly deliver from. If it's Seattle, oh man I'm gonna see that real quick haha

Insider pic of the vessel in route, no confirmation if its the Meridian Ace or not.

Update: ^ Wasn't on that boat

12/2 - update with VIN with ETA Dec 22nd
Arrived 12/12 (10 days early)
Picked up 12/19

Definitely worth the wait :D

STi Limited GBP w/Nav and Homelink
Harman Kardon speakers are actually pretty decent. Pretty busy this weekend, just gotta burn through the work week and get some decent pics posted hopefully next weekend.
Gonna get that delete plate installed soon, what were those screws that came with them? Cause I have a feeling my gf tossed the bubble mailer that probably still had the screws inside xP

AEM CAI setup has a delete rubber cover cap for the sound generator tube for the round part that is mounted to the TMIC. Since it's nearly impossible to pull it from the firewall. I'll provide a picture for this soon.
AEM is a great setup, slightly reserved in the sounds it gives under 3k but does awaken when you get on it. I'm just so used to the Cobb intake and it's much louder which I don't mind at all :)

Parts most likely getting sometime

How do you like the sound that comes from the sound generator? I couldn't stand it. I removed it and replace the intake tube from the previous year STI.

Are you referring to that deeper odd tone sucking in air? It does sound strange lols. Its actually more notable with the jug delete but I do hear my turbo spool better.
I might get around deleting the tube, or just save for the inlet? Unsure at the moment, so many things to add on. Tint and film protection will be added tomorrow!

Waiting for funds to stabilize before adding the catback to my amazon credit.

A couple pics over this weekend. 3M & 30% Tint added :)

Looks good! Headlights too?
Yup the full frontal kit. Bumper, lights & fogs, fenders, mirrors, door edges. Up to the scoop top is covered on the hood.

Anyone got preffered items for drying/squeegee and wheel brush?

I use a generic wheel brush and a microfiber wheel scrubber. An autozone normal squeegee. Finally deer skin chamois.

Ah good call, never knew what those towels were called. Do they crust up stiff after drying? There was one laying around here and it took shape as a solid hanging on the ladder lol.

Yeah when they dry up theyre hard as a rock. I soak it wet for about a minute and then rinse the water out. Ive had the same one for 5 years. Theyre miraculous! When i worked at acura, we would use the rubbery ones but they didnt work as well as the deer skin ones. Ive noticed that the deer skin ones work better and better over time. They just dont leave streaks like the rubbery ones!

The only time ive seen issues with the squeegee is on black cars. After a few times you see the small swirls, but if you buff or wax your car regularly its not an issue. I buff mine twice a year and wax it 4 times a year. (Its how my carbon fiber hood lasted 2 winters flawlessly)

Very nice. Yea... I got lots of swirl marks, makes me sad. lols.

Stage 2 yet? LOL
Yea sure, let me borrow $2,200 lol.

Only changes since the tint and clear film is some rally armors. But I only installed the rear ones at the moment, might install the front ones tomorrow along with my other project :)

yeah I was just curious what else you had going on with the car. I don't have much going with mine either. $ wise you've probably spent more though. lol I've only done the pitch stop, trans mount, front and rear shifter bushings, and tail turn lights. Cobb AP will be next along with an EBCS, then protune. That'll be it for the engine, keeping it simple.

Yea lols I got a nice deal $550 for tint and the protection film.

In other things received, thanks to Alin
