That's a hefty sum! :tup: Do you feel like it has all been worth it? Was the output of "fun" (because not all "fun" is fun!) and smiles well worth the input invested?

I look at it like this. I will always be a car guy and will always spend money playing with my car. It's my passion and my hobby. I could cut my losses on the STI and start over on something else but I will burn through money just the same. If I were to do things over again I would have just had an IAG motor or an awesome sleeved block built that was balanced and blue printed from the jump. Other then that I would have done it all over again because it really has been fun breaking and building. Isn't playing with our toys why we got them in the first place?

I actually always wanted a Hawk Eye to be honest and I think I would have been happier with it for racing purposes. Also buying used with the intent to modify would have been cheaper. Some of the things I don't like I is bei g grouped in with the kids getting the older models or my friends and wife thinking I drive a kids car. I'm 36 and most of my friends or family who have fast cars drive, vettes, gtrs, Porsches or the typical muscle car like the camaro and Mustang. I also don't like the fact that it is hard to find a honest good shop in my area. I think most shops realize that most owners won't have their modified subi for very long so don't build for longevity like I need or want. Hopefully this time will be different

I made 432hp and 372tq on 93 at 24psi. This is an FP Black but tuned for track duty so no crazy boost. I am going to either do a front mount soon or a custom AWIC as intake temps get crazy high. During tuning we would almost hit 200 degrees. I really want to go AWIC just need to find the time to build it. I also need to upgrade the radiator and get another oil cooler.

A couple other quick questions, if you don't mind. Internal or External wastegate? 8cm or 10cm turbing housing?
(I recently bought a custom built, similar sized turbo, and was wondering what I should expect from it. Your numbers look like mine "should" look, I think.

I got it (brand new-in box) from a guy that bought it from BCP and then was t-boned (totalled his car) before he could install it.
It looks like the FP Black has a greater flow rate, so I guess they aren't THAT similar.
Either way, I'm excited to see how it performs once I get the engine back in and running.

It looks similar to the FP Green and I made 402hp at 24psi on 93oct. I bet you can make the same and make close to 500hp on e-85 at around 30 psi. This all of course is on a Mustang Dyno at factory calibration settings

Those are great numbers on a Mustang dyno. I will probably end up on a Dynojet.
I was hoping for roughly 475whp on 93 and 525whp on E85. Though ultimately if I'm at 450 and 500 respectively, and the tune is safe and reliable, that will be perfect. I hope this build lasts long enough for my son to enjoy it when he's my age.
I do have port & polished (though otherwise stock) heads with the valve bowls blended, and BC 272 cams. So hopefully I won't be left wanting more power.

I too have BC272 and port and polished heads. I only went 1mm over. Make sure you have enough fuel pump as at the higher boost levels the pump can't keep up. I'm running 1300cc injectors at 60psi base pressure with the new Walbro Hellcat pump hard wired

I sure hope I do. FIC 1650cc injectors, FIC rails, Walbro 460 lph (E85 compatible) pump and Tomei Type-L FPR.
