I am need of machine shops around that would do balancing/assembly/bluprinting etc. (the same services of what is done to my block, to keep the most similar setup)
Anyone know any GOOD shops that wont stiff me over? I am worried about the longevity of the motor, lets say if I don't spend enough money at their shop, or they don't know me as a regular customer they won't work as hard on it as compared to a regular loyal customer.
I have a place to bring it to be tuned after I drop the motor back in. Innovative tuning in Buffalo. They do good tuning, but their labor hands on stuff I would not let them touch another one of my cars again. (bad previous experience)
Here is what is done to my motor setup:
Engine:
EJ257 Shortblock 99.75mm Bore
2011 STi block halves
Disassembled, cleaned, decked and torque plate honed.
Crankshaft polished and balanced to.5g
Blueprinted and Reassembled with Calico Coated
ACL Race Bearings
Brand New 8.2:1 99.75mm Mahle Pistons and File Fitted Rings
Manley Rods(H beam)
Version 7 2.0 JDM big port heads (PnP)
radius valve and decked
BC cams 280
New springs and retainers
APS dr725 FMIC
APS 83mm CAI
850CC Denso Injectors
APS 3in Hard turbo Inlet
AMR T60 Turbo10.5cm Exhaust Housing
* 3 inch compressor Inlet
* Fully ported exhaust housing
* Fully ported compressor housing
* OIL AND WATER COOLED!
AP ver 2
Mishimoto Rad with samco hoses
GMS 170 Thermostat
Grimmspeed uppipe with 38mm tial wastegate
Hallman pro manual boost controller
HKS High power exhaust 3in
Moore Performance Downpipe 3in, no wastegate side.
PnP throttle body with heat coating
PnP intake manifold with heat coating
TGV delete with pheloic spacers 6mm
Grimmspeed oil air separator
Grimmspeed exhaust manifold with hi flow x pipe(PnP)
Perrin Fuel rail
Now with that said, I believe I have a spun bearing, don't know if it's a main or rod bearing. The car ran before I took the block out, but knocked hard.
Thanks for your time everyone!!
If anyone has any other questions to make a better decision post away!
