Vinyl Wrapping the STi

So wrapping your car in 3M film seems to be getting popular so I gave it a shot with my roof and side vents. I love how it turned and is really thinking about getting a full body wrap soon. Let me know what you guys think of wrapping your car and share some pics of your ride with them.

[MENTION=9]HolyCrapItsFast[/MENTION] From watching the guys during the installation I would say not that hard but you must be patience and do proper prep work. Make sure the area your covering is super clean and clear of all containment. Once that's done you then spray on the surface area with a solution of water and soap. Then you apply the film and move it around until you cover the the desire area. Once thats done you start squeezing out all the air bubbles with a tool (forgot the name) till its a smooth surface while gently using the heat gun to help cured the film onto the surface. Finally you need razor blade to trip off the excess pieces and tuck in any protruding film. It took two professional over an hour to just do my roof so be patience and you'll get it right.

Dont do trunk. The bend on the rear ruins the texture pattern and looks like shit. Hood, mirrors and roof are fine.

I did the 3M CF wrap. I had it on the top of my spoiler too.

The suede changes the entire interior feel. Well worth it! :tup: Don't get me wrong, the vinyl is great, but it's not as captivating as the suede. Also, more people do the vinyl than suede! :tup:
