Hey everyone, It's Mike gonna write up a quick install of a SRI in a N/A Impreza for anybody who isn't 100% for reading the included installation guide and wants pictures in color, not black and white lol

stockpwr.jpg

First begin by unbolting the 10mm bolt holding in the snorkel

0Intake.jpg

Remove after unbolting and slowly pulling it from the silencer box

0Intake1.jpg

Unbolt this 12mm bolt, then reinstall just the bolt so its holding the ABS Module

0Intake2.jpg

The box also has a bushing forced into the fender just pops out

0Intake3.jpg

Also last bolt for the silencer box is a 10mm

0Intake4.jpg

The silencer box just pops out slowly just like the snorkel piece

0Intake5.jpg

Then just pull it out carefully not ripping on any vacuum lines, etc

0Intake6.jpg

Snorkel and Silencer parts of the Stock Intake

0Intake7.jpg

Lots of Space now...

0Intake8.jpg

OK now time to remove the Air Filter Intake box

0Intake9.jpg

Unbolt this 10mm on right side of the box

0Intake10.jpg

Then this 10mm at the front left of the box

0Intake11.jpg

Loosen the clamp on the Throttle Body

0Intake12.jpg

Remove the left side vacuum line on the air box

0Intake13.jpg

Take off the PCV hose to air box

0Intake14.jpg

Remove the Vacuum hose on right side of air box as well

0Intake15.jpg

Pull up slowly on assembly off Throttle body and just comes right out

0Intake16.jpg

Whole stock assembly out, good amount of excess weight

0Intake17.jpg

Now's time to remove the extra two brackets wont be used again just make sure you save the 12mm bolt from the left smaller bracket, reuse it later...

0Intake18.jpg

Heres the 12mm Bolt stated above

0Intake19.jpg

Pre-assemble your intake by putting the intake filter on with the bigger clamp included in the kit, two smaller clamps on coupler for Throttle Body can use a flat head to tighten them or in my case i used a 8mm socket with a 3/8's ratchet

0Intake20.jpg

Careful when installing not to scratch your intake on the fire wall and push coupler on the Throttle Body

0Intake21.jpg

Tighten up the 8mm clamp on Throttle body so no vacuum leaks

0Intake22.jpg

Connect the left side of the box vacuum line to the port on the middle of the intake pipe towards the filter

0Intake23.jpg

here is the extension piece to connect the supplied 1/2 hose to the hose in car

0Intake24.jpg

Connecting stock Vacuum right side of air box line to new hose supplied in kit, cut the hose when these pieces are connected to get proper length to right side of intake pipe near throttle body

0Intake25.jpg

here is where you reuse the 12mm bolt stated above to connect intake pipe to the intake manifold in the car, pretty simple use a 12mm wrench

0Intake26.jpg

Take out the old s curve PCV hose

0Intake27.jpg

This is after you cut the right side to fit

0Intake28.jpg

Use the rest of the supplied hose to connect the PCV to the left side of the intake box

0Intake29.jpg

Now your Intake is done and set up and shouldn't move or bounce in motor compartment, will only move with motor since that's where its connected

0Intake30.jpg

Add AEM sticker if wanted lol

0Intake31.jpg

Always add the supplied AEM SMOG stickers so your not harassed and Inspection stations or Emission Stations....
