Security Film window tint. Anyone tried it? Shatter proof glass tint/film.

So here I saw an interesting item. It's supposed to be a window tint that its made out of a resistant material and is a lot thicker than normal tints. End result, shatter proof.

There is a ebay store that sells the pre cut peaces and for a GD impreza the cost is about 60 bucks for all the glass, excluding the sun roof. What do you guys think? I mean if some one comes with the right tool they can still rip it apart but for the average joe, it would make things a little more complicated. Im liking it. Any one heard of it before?

I have never even heard of it, but for $60 I would be leary.

Also, have you ever tried to install tint??? One of the biggest PITA's...EVER.

Na I don't attempt to install it. I just take it to a shop and they do it.

I have installed tint once. It was on a Hmmwv in Iraq and it had almost perfectly square windows and it was still a PITA! Never again.
