Just got back from the track and I'm stoked.
Had a run last week on Friday where I had run a 13.6. That might not be that fast for you pros. But it's the fastest time I have ever personally managed. But I was wondering if it was a fluke.
Wanted to go to Little River/Academy Raceway and back those times up. In the past I managed solid low 14 second runs 14.2 - 14.5. But last week when I ran the 13.6 I finally felt that elusive sweet spot in the clutch. People have been telling me for a long time to ride the clutch out and then dump it. I finally felt what they were talking about!
Tonight I had solid mid 13 second runs all night. In fact my slowest time was a 14 flat and that was with a missed shift.
I will scan the tickets in and post them in a few days. I was just stoked and wanted to post up.
I'll just give you the run down and you guys can start dissecting my run(s)
Let the flaming/jokes begin
Sat Night 14 May 2011, Temple/Little River/Academy Raceway Test and Tune

1/8 ET: 8.8741

I just got the car back from getting the motor rebuilt and I think the piston rings have finally seated. The car feels like it getting stronger. I think I can get into the high 12 with more practice. I did actually cut a sub 2 second 60 foot time once (1.9), but for some reason that was a 13.7 run.
