Wow, I guess it'd been longer than I thought since I'd checked into this thread.

DAMN DUDE!

The whole thing had my jaw to the floor.

And seriously, compared to that plex, it does seem like a smokin deal.

Well still cheaper and more customizable than the plx sdm-500 http://www.plex-tuning.com/products/plex-sdm-500

I guess, but you have to admit the plex has far better graphics and also has other advanced features that mine doesn't have yet. I can do most of it though and I'm sure future renditions will be more robust. I believe I stated in earlier posts, all of the possible features I can incorporate. The list is quite extensive.

Their asking price of $1399 seems steep at first glance but doing this myself, I can see the costs mounting. Their's has an ultra bright display that I am sure is not cheap but I don't see anywhere that states it is touch screen. The one difference is that mine is a stand alone unit and monitors real time data derived from stand alone sensors. The plex uses real time outputs from an ECU which is not a bad thing. It is just that I am a "second opinion" type of guy and relying on one device to show everything doesn't sit well with me. I like to compare ECU data with real world data. The other thing is you can be damn sure that the reading my unit displays is accurate to with in 1% of actual reading. I calibrated the Eff out of the thing.

Did AEM finally release FlexFuel for the Subaru? They've had it for the Evos for years but I hadn't seen it available since I last looked a year or two ago. Does it have extra inputs to allow adding of AVCS to a non-AVCS car? I was looking at getting a ViPEC/Link G4+ eventually so I could drop in an 08+ STI long block and be able to utilize the DAVCS without having to swap the entire wiring harness in my car. And for FlexFuel. :)
