Well, it all started January 25th 11' I got my very first Scoobaru! 05' STi. I was in love.
My other half decided I needed these stickers.
First thing we did was cut off the intake silencer. Shortly after that I went underway for about a month. Once I got back my AccessPORT was waiting on my doorstep! So, of course I threw that puppy in and loaded up the STG 1 91oct map. Later that evening my turbo went kablewey. Im pretty sure it was due to the lowish oil level and the heavy right foot. Lesson Learned.
So what now? Started looking at turbos, decided on the DOM 3.0 XTR 3" inlet and a bunches of goodies to go with it.
Got all my shiny new parts and started tearing into things. With my WyoTech degree in Diesel Technology I figured turbo diesel cant be much different than subaru ey?So a week later I gave up on doing this myself and called around to some shops. I really liked Kevin @ Garage Tuning's attitude and phone presentation so there she went.
With all the little bugs and things that i effed up it took a little while till everything was running smooth. Except his dyno. So I called up Shawn Church.
Shawn was amazing, I showed up late, he stayed late. He made me 374HP and 340FT/LBS. The car is so smooth. And it sounds wicked mean.
So, i got tired of just having my AccessPort sitting in my cupholder or lap so i made this.
CUSTOM AP Mount!!!
It started as a generic $24 GPS vent mount. Then the dremel got ahold of it.
I like it. I wish it was a little more low profile but it will do for now.
About a week ago on my drive to VA from CA my engine blew. Cruise was set at 80 so i dont really know what happened yet. My wife is going to take it to YimiSport Tuning in Cali and get it all fixed up and shipped out to me in Va. Im so excited to get it back.
