Hello, im from Switzerland EU, sorry in advance for my poor english.

I am thinking about buying a new exhaust (i have the Perrin Performance catback (http://perrinperformance.com/i-13324009-cat-back-exhaust-system-for-2008-15-wrx-sedan.html) I was satisfied but now i want a more powerful exhaust.

Which one is the BEST exhaust for a WRX/STI 2011 Sedan for you ?

I was thinking about : http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Invidia-HS08STIGTT-N1-Cat-Back-Exhaust-Titanium-Tips

But someone in France told me that the COBB http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-2011-WRX-STi-Sedan-Turboback-Exhaust-p/515321.htmhttp://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-2011-WRX-STi-Sedan-Turboback-Exhaust-p/515321.htm is the best one

what is your reviews?

Thank you from swiss,

regards

I assume by powerful you mean louder?

If that's the case, try Invidia N1 race or go straight pipe.

Where in Switzerland do you live? I am in Wiesbaden, Germany. Very new to the area and have not met many other Subie enthusiasts.

If your into the quad tips, Q300 Invidia is technically a little bit louder than the Cobb exhaust. But if you want more sound then the Invidia N1 single tips was always a favorite.

I'm quite the fan of Invidia exhausts, as I have a N1 on my current car but I do plan on snagging the Q300 for my STi when it arrives at the end of the year. I personally installed a Q300 on a 2011 STi and pleased with the sound it produces, not too loud but loud enough with a great rumble :) I driven that 2011 for a couple years. I also had the chance to drive the 06 STi with the Cobb exhaust for about two years.

Another name brand I recently heard and liked was the Ark Grip quad tips, but the price on those are nearly double of the invidia like crazy! lol.

Found this for you, 2011 Exhaust list compilation

Hello,

The first month I had the Perrin Dual tip cat-back exhaust on my 13' Sedan (a friend and I just put the car on jacks), it was a VERY ANNOYING PAIN IN THE ASS. Of course it wasn't leaking right after install and inspection, but a short road trip with temperature fluctuations caused leaks from the clamp. If you know what I'm talking about, the pipe connecting the Y pipe to the axle-back is two tapered pieces that simply slide, one pipe into the other. And then sealed by metal clamps.
I love the growl and the lower rumble though.

What I realized is that the metal clamps to metal exhaust expanded and contracted with temperature changes. This was especially annoying when I was far from home until I used heat wrap in between the clamp and the pipe. It is a great exhaust though!

I have a Invidia Q300 Catback on my 2013 Sedan, as a catback it's pretty decent sound wise, the craftsmanship and quality is top notch. Granted the rest of my exhaust is not stock, as I have the Prosport Header and UpPipe coupled with the Invidia Catted Downpipe. So my exhaust tone will be much different from a standard catback exhaust, but regardless the Q300 in itself is a great choice.

Basically, where the mufflers connect to the rest of the exhaust, there's a section that does not connect with bolts. One section slides right into the other. Then, a clamp goes around that and is tightened to seal it. What became an issue was the changes in temperature. The metals naturally expand and contract, causing leaks. Also, it looked terrible seeing black stuff where it leaked.

I should mention that I drive my car more across states than in my home city. I put about 30,xxx miles on it in one year, almost all highway miles. So temperature changes really affected the back pressure

So you see it seems that my Perrin's exhaust cause leaks

Is it the same thing with you ? I have discussed with a mechanic, for him it is not a serious problem. But i told him that i will buy a new one from invidia (the N1 Cat Back Exhaust Single Titanium) so the problem will be solved.

But i don't know why this exhaust do this thing ??

Try an exhaust sealant, sometimes called exhaust putty. When the putty heats it seals joints like this that leak. Most of the perrin and magnaflow systems that have slip joints like that have a clamp that goes around the portion that slips together. A clamp made for those sections would tighten the pieces together and prevent that sooting like your seeing.
