I had a few questions on heads and got it figured out. Anyone else out there with questions?

First- Do you need to adjust cam buckets when upgrading springs and retainers? Answer is no, springs do not change the valve bucket clearances as the valve stem is limited by the back of the valve sealing surface. Bucket clearance will be the same without modifying the sealing surface or valve.

At what GENERAL horsepower level does head work become a priority? How about cams?

Ok, I have 8.2:1 pistons and plan for the best spool I can get with TMIC, E85 and about 400 to 450 horse and no more. I track the car and autocross as well as DD. What are my best options for head setup and what should be my priorities on my small steps to this goal?

You mentioned the 1.5 being less than optimal, what is your suggestion? I don't want to fall for hype if I can squeeze out some real answers from some experienced folks.
