Do waxes go bad?

Years ago I got a full set of Zaino washes/waxes/etc... Would the waxes/clay/etc go bad? I opened them and tried to use them once. I think i spent literally ALL day and didnt finish, and have never had the courage to start again. Am I good to open them up and start again?

Ps, anyone got a simple how-to, since clearly I wasnt very effective at my washing/waxing last time.

If you open it up and the elements of the wax have seperated, as in it looks like putty covered in water, just buy another one.
