Hey there! I'm new to the site and need help finding some nice wheels for my 05 Sti. I think it's time to upgrade. I'm not no wheel specialist so I don't know too much of it. I can't seem to find anything that I like that would fit or when I do, I was told that I need to have the fender mod And some won't clear the Brembos. I just want to find wheels that just fit just perfect, clear the brembos, nice style, and preferably in gold colour (dont have to be gold). What good in the market right now? Throw me some manufactors names and make (or post some picture of wheels on car would be nice too!) and I'll check them out! Thanks!

Well, wheels are kind of a personal item in that everyone likes different stuff. Do you have any wheels that you like the look of? 5 spoke, 6, multi-spoke, mesh, concave, etc.... Its easy to go from there and find similar styles that will fit your car.

Wheels are a personal choice. Just keep searching, there are plenty of wheels made to fit our cars.
Read the tire/wheel tech sticky in the wheel/tire forum for some info on fitments, manufacturing, tech, etc.
Also, check out the members journals for ideas.

Thanks Guys. I do feel welcome. I like the 18X9.5 ROTA MXR-R 5X114.3 +38 GOLD wheels but I was told that it's going to be a aggresive fitment and recommended to have some fender mod. That bummed me out because I really liked it but I don't want to go through with it. I searched around and found a similiar style and cost less, the Privat Akzent. I went to 2 local wheel shop and they call up some of their people and both shops said the same thing, "it won't clear the Brembos." I went to 2 shops because I wanted to make sure. I've seen a video of an 05 STi with those wheels!
It clearly cleared the Brembos! Do any of you guys can tell or know what the spec are on these wheels in the video? The size and offset wheels you are listing will require fender work on a GD STi.
The second choice probably won't clear Brembos if the dealers are saying so. Fender mods and aggressive alignment will be needed as they are a +30mm offset, very aggressive for the GD.
Most likely the the car in the video is running a spacer to clear the brakes.
I have no idea what the specs are for that video linked car's wheels.
Konig's website listed the Akzent in different sizes like 18x8 and 8.5. You may be able to get these in a different offset like a +38 or 40 to fit the fenders. You should call a dealer and inquire if you really want these.

Those are just off the top of my head. Not sure about STI fitements for any of those. Rota usually makes knock-offs of popular wheels, so perhaps check out their catalog for options other than the MXR
