Hello, I am new to the forum so this might not be the place to post this, but I am wondering if anyone has any videos showing how to do the timing belt on a 2008 STI. I have seen a video on you tube, but the motor is out of the car and not in the car so it's not very helpful. Or if there isn't any videos if some one could give a step by step.

That should get you there. It's on an 07 so there will be some subtle differences but the principals will be the same.

I have to say that I don't think that video is ideal for the STi motor. It does not represent the 4 cam, dual AVCS setup that the 2008's have and if you do it wrong, you will bend valves and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. What that video does not show are the exhaust cam sprocket placement and rotation procedure.
Let me put together the pages from the service manual and that should give you a closer idea of what to do.
