My build for a new '13 Wrx ;)

I came from a fully bolted mazdaspeed 3 to a brand new 2013 Wrx. I have always had my eye on the car and it made it more prone for me to want with all wheel drive and turbo. I immediately bought an accessport, Cobb intake and kartboy short shifter with front and rear bushings.

I continued to break in the motor and next on my list was a full turboback from Invidia. Divorced catted downpipe with a Dual N1 catback exhaust. After 1700 miles, I installed it and recieved enormous gains. Overall pleased with the product.

The next thing that I bought and installed was a Cobb lightweight crank pulley. I had a little struggle installing it but it was finished and well worth it.

How do you like the WRX compared to the Speed?

How do you like the WRX compared to the Speed?

I absolutely love my wrx more so than the speed for some reason. Exhaust was so much easier to deal with than the speed too.

Next for mods tho, I'm looking at picking up a set of VarrStoen ES2 wheels 18x9.5 in a matte black color they come with. Then maybe some cobb springs or go all out like I did the speed and go with some BC coils :) thoughts on the coils gents?

Here's a few pics tho.

I drove a M3S also, and just wasn't that impressed.

Nice looking Rex you got there.

So recently, I have done a few mods lately and I'm getting ready to get a pro tune from Spec Ops Motorsports in North Carolina. I installed a DW65c fuel pump tonight and I'll be installing a Hallman MBC very soon, if not tomorrow.

I'm sitting on a full TBE with Cobb intake and Cobb AP and Kartboy short shifter and both bushings as of right now.

Kind of excited to get the ball rolling with this project now too. :)

Stay tuned gents!

Welcome. I also came from a fully bolted Speed3. BNR S3 upgrade. Like you i am very pleased with the swap i made between the cars. Although i went STi but either way i love both the STi and the WRX.

The Varrstoens ES2 look great on the car. I have a set currently on mine. But ill be switching soon, cause they dont quiet clear my Brembos. I had to use a 3mm spacer to clear the calibers. You will love the Tune you get on your car, but like Grinder said. Put the TBE on the car before the tune if you havent alrdy.

i have about the same mods as you, and you will love it. :)

thats what i did. Used the Stg 2 Low WG Map till i got tuned. then i went OS and sold the AP that night. lol

Bought the Taxtric Cable and downloaded the program for Dataloggin and map swapping. :)

Planning on going back in AUG most likely to get an E85 Tune. Just need to get the supporting mods for it.

Here is a pic of my car with the varrstoens on it. http://www.igotasti.com/vBforum/showthread.php?5931-New-Guy-From-Texas

I may eventually do that. I already invested into the AP for now so why not. One thing I'm waiting for is e85 to show back up in my city. It used to be carried here but not anymore.

As for coilovers, I plan to go with BC's unless something else catches my eye or convinced otherwise.

I traded my Mazdaspeed 3 for a WRX STI as well, After owning three speed 3's an a Speed 6 I was finally able to afford and STI. I loved my speed for what it was ,A FWD compact, but does not compare to a WRX or STI. I like your color choice looks great, what color was your speed?
