Stroker vs Revver

So i always like to think about what i'd do if i blew an engine and was forced to get a new motor. I've thought of doing the 2.7L thing, or going for the 2.0 with a nice high rev capability. I see advantages to both, so I'd love to get your thoughts on the two options. Well, three options. Third is 2.5L built.

All things considered: price, power, power range, reliability, etc....

I've consider the destroked 2.3!version of the 2.5 before.

Cons are lost of MPG because you are driving in higher revs and the lost of displacement so you loose a bit of bottom end torque.

Pros are higher rev line and higher hp with lower boost.

Dom from Maxwell Performance is very informative on this and this is where I got that info from but it's no longer MPS since he recently moved.
