Hey guys, new to forums. I'm no slouch at diagnosing things, so I want to see if anyone else has this issue:
Occasionally when starting the vehicle with wheels off-center, or touching the gas when taking off will make the belt squeal for about 2 seconds. Tension is good, belt is good(no cracks, not dried out, brand new OEM belt), pump is good, pulley is good, no vibration to indicate something being out of balance. No moisture. I thought it was temperature-related until it did it in blistering heat. It's quite random and it's fairly rare but it's embarassing in a brand new car and nothing appears to be malfunctioning(but I haven't tried a different pump yet just to see because dealer said mine works mint). Dealer shop is stumped because I can't get it to happen for them. Happened in a parking garage in the heat surrounded by people and I was so embarrassed that I need to fix it.
Any ideas? Could it be dust?
