Someone bumped an old thread of mine on a different forum, and I thought i'd re-ask it here.
I was in the middle of removing my air pump (07 STI) and I wasnt quite sure what this piece is, where it goes, and what to do with it?
The pump had a rubber y-hose coming off. One end went to a selonoid with the atmospheric pressure sensor, and the other end went to the thing i circled above. It appears to be a tank or something in there, but its hard to get to and see.

I was under the impression that with 07 STIs there was only one air injection port on the heads; am I mistaken?
It seemed impossible to get out without removing quite a few more hoses, and potentially the manifold, so i just capped it. I'm still curious about what it might be and where it might go.
