I will be getting rid of my Aquamist HSF-5 meth kit this winter after installing my new motor. I bought it a couple years ago new ($1000) and had SI install the kit for me ($700). The kit came with "quick fittings" which did not hold up to the 100% meth (rubber rings eventually dried out from the meth) and ALL quick fittings were then replaced with compression fittings. These fittings now come on all new kits and work FAR better than the original ones.
I also have replaced the following items to "upgrade" and "maintain" the system.
- new tank ($30)
- tank enclosure - metal tank enclosure ($160)
- vented tank cap ($3.50)
- "in-the-take" filter - filters debris from tank before it enters system ($6)
- new high flow valve ($100)
- new flow sensor ($145)
- inlet strainer - strains debris from liquid as you fill the tank ($15)
- AN fitting with braided line from pump to tube
- black gauge bezel ($20)
- new injector
- new hose inside engine bay
- new hose inside trunk
All said I have put an additional $500+ into the kit. Parts were purchased from Aquamist or Howerton Engineering.
I'm asking $700, this includes the gauge (in red), black gauge bezel and the original aluminum one, extra fittings, all tubing (plus extra), extra AN fitting w/ braided line, pump and all electronics. If there is any interest PM me and we can talk.....make me a reasonable offer!
