break in tune mileage

Just a quick question. How long is it safe to run a new build on a break in tune? Like if I don't have the money to get it on the dyno, is it safe to drive for an extended length of time?

If its a true break in tune then yes, its made to drive around reliably and safely from the get go.

Ok. Thanks. I was a little worried since I have been driving it for a couple thousand miles now. I need to get it on the dyno soon though. Rev limit set to 5k sucks lol.

Do you have a cobb ap? you can change rev limit on that. from personal experience, I ran my break in map for almost 7k and my tuner emailed me a new map with more boost but same break in map, cuz i couldnt travel to get out to the shop on the dyno. i flashed the new map and now have 13k on the build, runs strong and pulls hard. I wish i could get a protune, just for the lumpy idle shake to be taken care of. and of course hidden potential power gains!!! lol
