Engine Surge Issues

Well recently i have been having issues with my engine surging and idling very rough. just did a tune up and intake and exhaust gasket and motor mount change and it all stopped....... for about 500 miles.

the issue is it idles very rough but is not missing and at a cruising throttle the motor surges like it wants to go more not like a miss. i dont know if is a knock issue or what but there is no check engine light. granted it is a 91 with 204k....

any thoughts?

its my daily so i need to get it fixed soon!!!

nah PCV is fine cleaned it out when i had the intake out regasketting it and it still rattles

do a snoop test on vaccuum lines and intake system..(mix soap and water and spray it on small sections at a time) hit the throttle just a little bit to create pressure bubbles create at point of leak be careful around electrical components and such.

well i got under the dash today and did a diag with DTC's its shows like 10 codes knock sensor had a huge crack in it, replaced it, so im resetting the ECU and seeing what codes it throws later after work.
