fitting 07 sti struts on 05 wrx

ok so i cant find the answer im looking for.... i have 07 sti struts with lowering springs ive taken off mine. my brother has a 05 wrx and wants to know if they will fit.

i have found 04 struts will fit. but the 05+ wont because the wrx has 5x100 knuckles. but 05+ has 5x114 knuckles so would it fit? thats what i need to know

i know they sell shims to make them fit the 04s but i cant find info on 05+ wrx

just read that 05 wrx are 5x100 still.... so still why exactly wont they fit?

Something about knuckle sizes being different. There was a discussion on here recently about the parts you need to make it work. I believe STIMedic has done the swap.
