Okay so I figured I'll start documentation of my 02 WRX build which I'm going to start next week.
Right now it's completely stock except a downpipe with a broken electronic cutout.
Next week though, I'll be replacing the downpipe, putting on a catless up pipe, turbo blanket and doing a mild open source stage 2 tune.
I'll also be doing a complete servicing for her.
Brakes:
-pads
-fluids
-SS Brake lines
Coolant flush
Oil change with Red Line 5w 30
Trans fluid change
Spark plugs
Compression and leak down testing.
It is also in need of an alignment.
Long term:
I'll be doing a STI brembo from brake swap as it is the most economical and a H6 rear brake swap. Suspension I was thinking KONI inserts with H&R lowering springs, bushings and some sort of wheels and tires will be needed.
I only just got the WRX a few weeks ago and am completely open to suggestions on what to do.
Not looking to push power on this little 205, I was thinking of buying a ej255 bottom forged piston and rods with a STI six speed and doing a hybrid with Ej207 heads and putting a 20g turbo on it. That build would be done slowly while keep the 205 running as my DD.
Like I said, open to suggestions on everything. Done a lot of research so I'm familiar with Subaru as a platform and I'm mechanically inclined, but I'd like to hear your opinions!
