The Subaru community took over the hamlet of Elk Rapids Mi the weekend of 9/16/12 (Matts birthday) to honor Matthew Noble Marker, a rally driver from Elk Rapids that past last year in the Olympus Rally in WA (his sister and the Subaroots/Noble Star Rally crew are almost to WA again this year to run the rally, currently on the road, wish them luck!) https://www.facebook.com/#!/SubaRoots https://www.facebook.com/#!/NobleStarRally
In lew of this we also made an atempt at a World Record for the longest parade of Subarus!!
Prior record was 339, in Itasca IL http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/4000/largest-parade-of-subaru-cars
We had 355 official, some conern as to gaps in the line, the "official" won't be out for a few weeks...
Regardless of the record being official or not, I don't think a single person would be upset if we DIDN'T get it, it was THAT GOOD...
Not a major problem to be had, a few breakdowns, a few minor dents/dings... I don't think anyone even got a TICKET...
The village of Elk Rapids opened there arms to us, PD, FD, EDU and business where all on board... It WAS AMAZING...
