I think most of the info you'll get here is pretty positive on the cars, but we're all biased.

Go for the STI!

The bad: you'll get the mod bug and spend way more than you expected making it even more awesome!

Don't buy an 08 WRX. It's a bastard year. 09 and up is better with more power and better turbocharger.

08+ STi is fine with probably the '10+ being a bit better amongst the group.
