rear struts

does anyone else have an issue with slight rear struts clunking while going slow. I replaced my rear struts with some new ones and sure enough the clunk is still there.:x

I had the rear strut clunk issue when I bought the car and had them replaced under warranty. No issues since and that was about 40000 miles ago.

I have only 10,000 miles on mine and no clunk yet, but that was a pretty common issue. How many miles you have on your STi?

5000 on the motor and about 60,000 miles on the struts, bought them used.

That might have been the problem. I bet 10 to 1 they knew them struts clunked. Hope you didn't pay to much for them.

Clunking is annoying but doesn't mean the struts are bad. Just grease 'em up...

I havent done it myself yet but there is a way to fix them with grease. Maybe someone on here can give you some instructions.

what year is your car? if it is an 08 + you may try retorqing the end links.

Or it could be like Gino, who's always a loose nut and clunks everywhere....
More than likely the struts just need to be repacked......like mine have needed for awhile.
