Timing Belt cost?

How much does getting a new timing belt usually cost shops to perform?

Mine alltogether was $650 labor and parts. And mine is a gates kit.

With timing I didn't worry about using a performance shop, all cars have to have belts and chains replaced so I went a reputable local shop that was ase certified and had them do the install with a warranty. Ordered the kit from Jordan.

I never trusted revolutions either.... Is that shop Under Pressure on South Academy still open? The owner is a really cool guy but the monkeys he has working for him (some not all) leave much to be desired....

I agree. A total timing kit should not cost more than $350 plus coolant, and labor is about 3hrs. So it should not cost more than $700ish

Agree. That's what we charge.

Call Jordan for a gates kit. The price was lower than $350.

Save your money and go to a regular certified shop instead of a performance shop, save yourself $600. Any decent shop can replace the belt and pump.
