i appologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this question or if it has been posted before, i didnt find anything when searching. recently bought an 06 sti with 70k miles and love it, except that when i try to start the car after it has been running and warmed up it'll take a few seconds for it to start. the car will start with no problem at all when its cold does anybody have experience with this or a similar issue. thanks

I would also recommend replacing the fuel filter. Mine was filthy at 70K. When I replaced the fuel filter, the warm starts improved. The greater issue for me was vapor lock on very hot days. my solution for this was to just replaced the fuel lines and rails with some after market stuff.

As mentioned check for boost/vacuum leaks. It could also be any number of things like clogged or leaking lines, a weak fuel pump, dirty injectors, fouled plugs, dirty air filter, ect.

If you have any modifications to your car it would help if you can list them.
